Elizabeth Vitale - As a yoga practitioner for the past seventeen years, she knows postures from the inside out. This inner knowledge is reflected in her teaching style. She studied with the Shivinanda Yoga Center for several years, and then became inspired by Ashtanga, Power and Kundalini Yoga. Her studies also took me to India, where I studied at Sarah’s Hindu Ashram for 2 months. Elizabeth received her teaching certification through the International Yoga Institute in August, 2002 at the Pura Vida Resort, San Jose, Costa Rica.
Elizabeth teaches a hatha blend with emphasis on flow synchronized with breath and incorporate Kundalini breathing exercises with movement. She challenges her students to push to their edge while allowing them the space to explore their own body, breath and limitations in a graceful and peaceful manner. Having taught both small and large classes, she accommodates individual students while maintaining class flow, offering posture modifications to suit different student levels.
